Microtor UG 101: la version acier de série

Un an après la réintroduction du Microtor UG 100 en 2006, modèle anniversaire avec calibre à remontage automatique par micro-masse excentrée, inspiré du mythique calibre UG 66 produit en 1966, Universal Genève a le grand plaisir de présenter le Microtor UG 101, qui sera produit en série et dans l'esprit de la manufacture genevoise d'autrefois.

La boîte a été redimensionnée par rapport au Microtor 2006. Les cornes ont été légèrement allongées, la lunette a été affinée et la couronne mieux intégrée dans le flanc de la carrure dont la courbure du dessus a été accentuée. Le bombé du verre saphir a été augmenté afin d'améliorer la continuité entre la glace et la lunette, et d'éviter ainsi une cassure.

Les changements en quelques chiffres

  1. Longueur selon axe 12h-6h: 48,60 mm en 2007 (48,50 mm en 2006),
  2. largeur selon axe 3h-9h: 43,20 mm en 2007 (43,22 mm en 2006),
  3. diamètre extérieur de la lunette: 39,50 mm en 2007 (40 mm en 2006),
  4. diamètre de l'ouverture du cadran: 32 mm en 2007 (33 mm en 2006),
  5. épaisseur de la boîte: 10.32 mm en 2007 (10,30 mm en 2006)
Le nouveau calibre Microtor UG 101 conserve l'essentiel des caractéristiques techniques de l'UG 100, notamment un échappement de qualité supérieure chronomètre et a été adapté pour répondre aux critères d'une production industrielle. L'esthétique des ponts, décorés de Côtes de Genève circulaires mais aussi finement gravés et dorés, rappelle celle des mouvements produits par la Manufacture dans les années 1950.

 

 

Microtor UG 101: a series-made version

A year after the introduction of the Microtor Calibre UG 100 in 2006 – the anniversary model with its movement featuring automatic winding by an off-centred micro-oscillating weight and inspired by the legendary Calibre UG 66 launched in 1966 – Universal Genève is delighted to present the Microtor Calibre UG 101, to be series-produced in the traditional spirit of the Geneva-based firm.

The case has been resized compared with the Microtor 2006. The lugs have been subtly extended, the bezel has been slimmed down and the crown more smoothly integrated in the case band which features an accentuated upper curve. The camber of the sapphire crystal has also been increased so as to enhance continuity between the glass and the bezel.

The new Calibre UG 101 retains the essential technical characteristics of the UG 100, and in particular a chronometer-quality escapement, and has been adapted to meet industrial production criteria. The finely engraved and gilded bridges, decorated with circular Côtes de Genève, are reminiscent of the movements produced by Universal in the 1950s.
