Côté technique, ce modèle d'ombre et de lumière est animé par un mouvement chronographe mécanique à remontage automatique Valjoux 7750.
Un hublot vertical à l'arrière du boîtier dévoile les pulsations de sa puissante mécanique et le tournoiement de la masse oscillante.

This model with its clever play on light and shade is driven by a mechanical self-winding Valjoux 7750 movement.

HAMPTON XL MAGNUM

Cette année HAMPTON, l’icône de Baume & Mercier laisse tomber sa tenue de soirée et enfile une combinaison de sport. Cette nouvelle HAMPTON XL MAGNUM est parée pour l’action.
Sa structure en acier est consolidée par une lunette en titane microbillé, solidement fixée au boîtier par quatre vis robustes. Des renforts latéraux en caoutchouc vulcanisé protègent la montre des chocs.

Une pièce que l’on imagine aisément sur un équipement technique, de plongée par exemple. Mais la nouvelle HAMPTON XL MAGNUM sait tout aussi bien se faire urbaine, avec son cadran noir design et ses aiguilles luminescentes stylées.
Son deuxième fuseau horaire à six heures permet de suivre l’heure que l’on soit à New York en réunion d’affaires ou aux Maldives en pleine expédition sous-marine. La grande date à 12 h est surmontée du sigle Phi, symbole du nombre d’Or et signature de Baume & Mercier.
Dans cette cage d’acier et de titane s’anime un mouvement mécanique à remontage automatique, dont les oscillations de la masse peuvent être observées à travers un hublot vertical au fond du boîtier.
Cette pièce de choc, hautement masculine, est arrimée au poignet par un bracelet en caoutchouc noir vulcanisé, fermé par une boucle triple déployante en acier.

This year HAMPTON, the Baume & Mercier icon, slips out of its evening gown and into sports gear. This new HAMPTON XL MAGNUM is obviously ready and eager for action. Its steel structure is consolidated by a sapphire-blasted titanium bezel, solidly secured to the case by four sturdy screws.
Lateral vulcanized rubber reinforcements protect the watch from shocks. This is a model one can easily imagine worn over technical equipment such as when diving.
But the new HAMPTON XL MAGNUM also knows how to display an urban look, with its contemporary black dial and elegant luminescent hands. Its second time-zone indication at 6 o’clock enables one to keep track of the time anywhere – whether in New York for a business meeting or on an underwater expedition off the Maldives islands.

The large date at 12 o’clock is topped by the Phi symbol representing the golden section and the Baume & Mercier signature. Inside this steel and titanium carriage beats a mechanical self-winding movement, and the steady to-and-fro motion of its oscillating weight may be observed through a vertical porthole in the case-back.
This ultra-masculine high-powered model is held firmly to the wrist by a black vulcanized rubber strap fitted with a steel triple-folding clasp.
