Silicium  Grande Date

Le visage de la Silicium Grande Date, rendu déjà si particulier par la très fine plaque de silicium pur, l’est encore plus au travers de sa construction d’ensemble.
Aérien d’apparence grâce à un assemblage complexe mettant en œuvre plus de quarante composants, le cadran de matière cristalline paraît suspendu au réhaut dentelé rappelant la roue du temps grâce au 12 attaches en or portant chacune gravée sur sa face interne une lettre.
Les généreux guichets délicatement soulignés de leur cerclage d’or sont respectivement positionnés à 12 heures et à 6 heures. Ils indiquent la date pour les premiers, le jour pour le second.
Le puissant boîtier si caractéristique de la collection Academia étanche jusqu’à 50 mètres, à lunette et carrure sculptées des motifs "Colonnes Impériales" exclusifs à la marque, souligne son esthétique identitaire avec autorité.
Il protège avec force et élégance un mouvement mécanique à remontage automatique – calibre DW 1501, qui offre les fonctions heure/minutes/secondes, l’indication de la grande date à 12 heures par son double guichet ainsi que l’indication des jours à 6 heures.
L’ensemble des réglages fonctionnels s’effectue par la couronne.

The face of this Silicium Grande Date, already so distinctive with its ultra-fine sliver of pure silicium is made still more exceptional by its overall structure.
Ethereal in its aspect through a complex structure requiring more than forty components, the dial in crystalline matter seems to be suspended from the serrated flange which recalls the wheel of time thanks to the 12 gold attachments, each bearing a letter engraved on its internal surface.
Two ample windows, delicately underscored by surrounding golden circles, are positioned at 12 o’clock and 6 o’clock : the first indicates the date and the second the day.
The imposing watchcase, typical of the Academia collection, is water-resistant to 50 metres and features a bezel and middle part sculpted with the “Imperial columns” motif exclusive to the brand; the case itself underscores an authoritative aesthetic identity.
It protects with impressive strength and elegance a self-winding mechanical movement – Calibre DW 1501 with hour/minute and seconds functions, a big date display at 12 o’clock through a double window and the indication of the days at 6 o’clock.
All of the functions are adjusted by means of the crown.

 

Silicium Hora Mundi

La lecture proposée par la Silicium Hora Mundi allie originalité et élégance : si les aiguilles de l’heure et des minutes signalent le temps de référence (heure locale), le deuxième fuseau se lit à travers un double guichet situé à 9h, indiquant la ville de destination ainsi que l’heure solaire locale sur le méridien de référence.
Leur réglage s’opère par le poussoir situé à 2 heures. Le dispositif est complété par un guichet de date positionné à 3 heures. L’ajustement horaire s’effectue via un discret correcteur affleurant la carrure à 5 heures.

The time display featured on the Silicium Hora Mundi is an alliance of originality and elegance: while the hour and minute hands point to the reference time (local time), the second time zone is read off through a double window at 9 o’clock, indicating the destination town and the local solar time on the reference meridian.
They are adjusted by means of the pushpiece at 2 o’clock. The system is completed by a date window at the 3 o’clock position. The time itself is adjusted by means of a discreet corrector flush with the middle part of the case at 5 o’clock.

Triple Complication GMT

Ce garde-temps GMT, Jour & Nuit et Quantième dissocié affirme son caractère innovant dans l’harmonie originale de l’affichage des multiples fonctions, associé aux différentes déclinaisons du modèle et de ses matériaux constitutifs. Cette création, outre l’indication des heures, des minutes et de l’aiguille de petite seconde qui témoigne de sa marche, propose un affichage de quantième dissocié de part et d’autre du tour d’heure.
Cet ensemble positionné sur la plaque inférieure du cadran est complété par l’indication d’un deuxième fuseau horaire sur aiguille. Il contraste avec le plan supérieur du cadran, dont le pont maintient le disque affichant la fonction Jour & Nuit. Le système bat au rythme du calibre DW 2041 mécanique à remontage automatique.

This GMT, Day & Night and Dissociated Date timepiece asserts its innovative character in the unusual harmony of the display of the many functions featured on the different versions of the model and the materials used in its manufacture. In addition to the indications of the hours, minutes and the small seconds hand which shows that the movement is working, this creation features a dissociated date display on either side of the hour circle.
This arrangement located on the lower plaque of the dial is completed by the indication of a second time zone by means of a hand. This contrasts with the upper level of the dial, on which the bridge supports the disc displaying the Day & Night function.
