“Bigger Bang ” est le premier Chronographe Roue à Colonne Tourbillon avec embrayage direct sur la cage d’un tourbillon volant, une nouveauté réalisée par les maîtres horlogers de Hublot.
Le mécanisme de chronographe et la roue à colonne sont pour la première fois directement visibles à 12h00 au travers du cadran et permettent d’admirer la fine exécution de chaque composant ainsi que la fonction du déclenchement de chronographe par la pression du premier poussoir, la mise en route du mécanisme de la roue à colonne, coeur du système. La mise à zéro par le même poussoir, engendre un arrêt du mécanisme, grâce au mouvement rotatif de la roue d’embrayage en prise avec le système Tourbillon.
La réalisation exceptionnelle de “Bigger Bang ” présente outre son Chronographe Roue à Colonne côté cadran,un Tourbillon Volant de 13 ¼ lignes – diamètre 30 mm. - placé dans une cage de 13 mm de diamètre sans roulement à billes et surélevé de 2.80 mm de la base de la platine.
Cette prouesse horlogère de 262 composants assemblés, ajustés et réglés avec la plus grande minutie, donne l’impression que le tourbillon est suspendu dans l’air d’où son appellation “Volant » et permet d’être admiré de tous les côtés.
Il est également composé d’un balancier de type Gyromax et offre une réserve de marche de 5 jours.
Il est monté avec 33 rubis, platine perlée droite décorée en or noir, surmontée de ponts extraordinairement originaux, évoquant l’engrenage de deux roues et d’un cadran Squelette noir soleil.
The “Bigger Bang” is the first Tourbillon Column-Wheel Chronograph with direct coupling on a flying tourbillon cage, the latest brainchild to emerge from the master watchmakers’ workshop at Hublot.
The chronograph mechanism and column-wheel are for the first time directly visible via the dial at 12.00 o’clock.
The wearer can admire the fine execution of each component, observe the chronograph being activated by pressing the first push-piece, and see the operation of the column-wheel mechanism, the heart that beats at the centre of the system. Using the same pushpiece to reset to zero causes the mechanism to stop, due to the rotary movement of the coupling wheel engaging with the Tourbillon system.
The remarkable construction of the “Bigger Bang”, aside from the dial-side Column-Wheel Chronograph (in itself already a spectacular first), also features a Flying Tourbillon measuring 13 ¼ lines (diameter 30 mm) housed in a 13mm diameter cage without ball bearings and raised 2.80 mm above the base of the bottom plate. This amazing feat of watchmaking engineering comprising 262 components, assembled, adjusted and regulated with the utmost precision, creates the impression of a tourbillon suspended in mid-air, hence the term ‘Flying’, thereby enabling it to be admired from every angle.
It also comprises a Gyromax type balance and offers a power reserve of 5 days. It is fitted with 33 rubies, a circular-grained right bottom plate decorated in black gold, topped by some extremely unique bridgework, echoing the two-wheel gear in shape, and a black skeleton dial with sunray motif.

La reconnaissance latérale est assurée par un insert en résine composite de couleur assortie - qui donne à ce chronographe l’impression d’être traversé par le bracelet noir Hublot en caoutchouc naturel. Côté technique, le mouvement chronographe mécanique à remontage automatique 2894 et sa masse oscillante en carbure de tungstène personnalisée aux couleurs de Hublot est visible à travers la glace saphir qu’enserre le fond en acier. The new Hublot Big Bang chronograph reduced to ‘41mm’ is distinguishable by the multilayered construction of its case, and bezel complete with 6 ‘H’-shaped titanium screws, sunken, polished and blocked, like those found the first 44mm Big Bang chronograph. It is available in 18K red gold, steel or ceramic, and even with diamond setting.
An interesting side profile is achieved with a composite resin insert in a matching colour, which gives the impression that the Hublot natural rubber bracelet passes directly through the body of the chronograph.
On a technical note, the mechanical chronograph movement with automatic movement 2894 and oscillating weight in tungsten carbide, personalised in the colours of Hublot, is left open to view through the sapphire crystal encased by the steel back. Hublot also had its female clientele in mind when developing the new ‘41mm’ Big Bang chronograph in a “Black Magic” version with black ceramic base and bezel; an “Aspen” version in white ceramic with white rubber strap and dial or with bezel set with 114 diamonds weighing 1.22K; a “Frappuccino” version in black ceramic with chocolate brown dial and strap; and a “Porto Cervo” version (photo) in 18K red gold, bezel set with 114 diamonds weighing 1.22K, white dial and white rubber strap, which offers an astonishing contrast and further accentuates the fusion of unique materials.
The Hublot Big Bang ‘All Black’ is in keeping with the same visionary spirit, reaching even further beyond the use of new materials with a new extreme design. With its assertive character and powerful aesthetics, the new Big Bang ‘All Black’ is about to set the watchmaking world ablaze with its invisible take on time-telling. A genuine ‘must have’ produced in a Limited Edition of 250 individually numbered pieces. The Hublot Big Bang ‘All Black’ is distinguishable by its impressively proportioned 44.5 mm case, crafted entirely in black ceramic with alternating brushed and polished finishes. The extralarge matt black ceramic bezel carries 6 ‘H’-shaped titanium screws, sunken, polished and blocked. Beneath the sapphire crystal, the only one without anti-reflection treatment in order to enhance the Black effect of the ‘All Black’ design, the matt black dial accentuates the exceptional nature of this timepiece with its black nickel applique numerals and indices, with hands and date feature also in black.
An interesting side profile is achieved with a black composite resin insert, which gives the impression that the Hublot natural black rubber bracelet passes directly through the body of the chronograph, and with the multi-layered construction of its case, which creates an intricate interplay of materials. In the same vein, the back of the watch case is blanked from titanium. Now available in an adjustable version, the smooth rubber strap, this time sporting the Hublot logo in relief, comes once again complete with the new Hublot deployant clasp, enabling instant adjustment to different wrist sizes, without any loss of comfort. On a technical note, the Big Bang ‘All Black’ houses the new HUB44 mechanical chronograph movement with automatic winding mechanism, an exclusive Hublot movement developed in conjunction with the La Joux-Perret workshop.

Le cadran noir mat confirme le caractère exceptionnel de ce garde-temps avec ses chiffres et index appliqués en nickel noir, ses aiguilles et sa date noires également.

Côté technique, Big Bang « All Black » abrite le nouveau mouvement chronographe mécanique à remontage automatique HUB44, mouvement exclusif Hublot développé en collaboration avec la manufacture La Joux-Perret.
