Panerai Luminor Submersible 1950 Amagnetic 3 Days Automatic Titanio - 47 MM

Pour Panerai, l’innovation n’a de sens que si elle sert avant tout la fonctionnalité. Chez la Luminor Submersible 1950 Amagnetic 3 Days Automatic Titanio, ce principe s’est traduit par la création d’un boîtier qui garantit une extraordinaire résistance aux champs magnétiques : 40 000 A/m (Ampères/mètre), soit un seuil plus de huit fois supérieur aux standards internationaux définis par les Normes de l’Industrie Horlogère Suisse (NIHS 90-10). Un exploit rendu possible par un boîtier interne réalisé en fer doux - et donc très pur -, qui abrite et isole le mouvement en formant une cage de Faraday capable de dévier le flux des champs magnétiques. Ce boîtier en fer doux est placé sous le cadran, qui est réalisé de la même matière.
Le boîtier interne en fer doux de la Luminor Submersible 1950 Amagnetic 3 Days Automatic Titanio se loge dans un classique boîtier Luminor Submersible réalisé en titane satiné et équipé d’un pont à levier qui assure la parfaite tenue de la couronne et contribue ainsi à garantir une étanchéité à 300 mètres.
La conception de la montre présente une nouveauté absolue sur un modèle Panerai : sur la lunette tournante en titane, qui s’inspire des garde-temps réalisés par Panerai dans les années 1950 pour la marine militaire égyptienne, est appliqué un disque en céramique noir opaque sur lequel sont fixés des index linéaires et points en titane. Cette lunette tourne exclusivement dans le sens contraire des aiguilles d’une montre, pour éviter que des chocs accidentels ne nuisent à la précision de la mesure du temps de plongée.
Derrière l’incontournable cadran noir, marqué par la présence d’index linéaires appliqués et revêtus de Super-LumiNova®, se cache un mouvement à remontage automatique P.9000, entièrement conçu et réalisé dans les ateliers d’Officine Panerai à Neuchâtel.

For Panerai, innovation is above all about functionality, and in the Luminor Submersible 1950 Amagnetic 3 Days Automatic Titanio it is seen in its special case construction which ensures a remarkable degree of resistance to magnetic fields: 40,000 A/m (ampere per metre), a limit more than eight times greater than the value specified by the international standards of the Normes de l’Industrie Horlogère Suisse (NIHS 90-10). Such a high limit is achieved by the use of a special internal case made of soft iron of the highest purity, which encloses and isolates the movement, forming a Faraday cage that diverts the flow of magnetic fields. The soft iron case is immediately beneath the dial, which is made of the same material.
The soft iron internal case of the Luminor Submersible 1950 Amagnetic 3 Days Automatic Titanio is contained within a classic Luminor Submersible case of brushed titanium, fitted with the lever bridge which locks the winding crown and thus helps in achieving water-resistance to a depth of 300 metres. The design of the watch includes a feature which is completely new in Panerai watches: applied to the rotating titanium bezel, inspired by that of the models made by Panerai for the Egyptian Navy in the 1950s, is a disc of opaque black ceramic, on which the linear and dot-shaped titanium markers are fixed. The bezel rotates only in a clockwise direction, to prevent accidental movement interfering with the measurement of the time of the dive.
Behind the quintessential black dial, with its distinctive applied linear hour markers coated with Super-LumiNova®, lies the P.9000 automatic movement, executed entirely by the Officine Panerai manufacture in Neuchâtel.

Panerai Radiomir Black Seal 3 Days Automatic

Le boîtier Radiomir en acier poli de 45 mm de diamètre est agrémenté d’un cadran noir de type “sandwich”. Avec son alternance d’index linéaires et de grands chiffres au niveau des points cardinaux, ainsi que la petite seconde à 9 heures et la date à 3 heures, ce cadran s’inscrit dans la plus pure tradition esthétique de Panerai.
Le fond saphir transparent offre une vue plongeante sur le mouvement P.9000 et en particulier sur la masse oscillante bi‐directionnelle qui commande le remontage des deux barillets lors du port de la montre.
Le calibre P.9000 équipant le modèle Radiomir Black Seal 3 Days Automatic est un calibre de 13 ¾ lignes de diamètre pour 7,9 mm d’épaisseur. Il oscille à une fréquence de 28’800 alternances par heure. En plus des fonctions de l’heure et de la date, le P.9000 est équipé d’un dispositif de réglage rapide de l’aiguille des heures: un pignon à 12 ailes et un petit ressort d’embrayage permettent à l’aiguille des heures d’être avancée ou reculée aisément sans interrompre la progression de l’aiguille des minutes ni le fonctionnement de la montre. Le même dispositif est appliqué à la date qui est alors ajustée automatiquement lorsque l’aiguille des heures devance ou dépasse minuit.
Le modèle Radiomir Black Seal 3 Days Automatic (PAM00388) est équipé d’un bracelet alligator fixé au boîtier par des anses amovibles permettant de remplacer le bracelet rapidement et en toute simplicité (système breveté d’Officine Panerai).

The Radiomir case in polished steel is 45 mm in diameter and has a black dial of sandwich construction, faithful to the traditional Panerai aesthetic with its alternation of linear hour markers and large figures at the cardinal points, small seconds dial at 9 o’clock and date at 3 o’clock.
On the back, a sapphire crystal gives a view of the P.9000 movement and in particular of the oscillating weight which operates in both directions, winding the two spring barrels while the watch is being worn. The P.9000 calibre of the Radiomir Black Seal 3 Days Automatic is 13¾ lignes in diameter and 7.9 mm thick. It has a balance which oscillates at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour. As well as the time and date functions, the P.9000 is fitted with the device for rapid setting of the hour hand: a star wheel with 12 teeth and a small spring clutch enable the hour hand to be moved forward or backwards in clicks of one hour at a time, without interfering with the progress of the minute hand or the running of the watch.
The same device is connected to the date, which is adjusted automatically when the hour hand is moved forward or backward past midnight.
The Radiomir Black Seal 3 Days Automatic (PAM00388) is fitted with a black alligator strap, attached to the case by wire loop strap attachments which can be removed (patented Officine Panerai), enabling the strap to be easily replaced.

Panerai Tuttonero - Luminor 1950 3 Days Gmt Automatic Ceramica - 44 Mm

Le noir opaque se retrouve dans le moindre détail de la Tuttonero : le boîtier Luminor 1950, de 44 mm de diamètre, le levier protège-couronne, véritable marque de fabrique de la Luminor, le cadran sandwich et enfin les aiguilles (heures, minutes, petite seconde et deuxième fuseau horaire), qui ont été enduites de Super-LumiNova® écrue, tout comme les index numériques, leur conférant une visibilité et une lisibilité optimales même dans le noir.
Le bracelet est lui aussi tout de céramique noire et opaque ; ses maillons sont le résultat du même procédé d’élaboration et de finition que le boîtier et se referment sur une boucle en acier satiné PVD.
La Tuttonero est animée par le calibre P.9001/B, intégralement développé et réalisé par la manufacture Officine Panerai.
Mouvement mécanique à remontage automatique, doté de trois jours de réserve de marche, il réunit les fonctions de date, second fuseau horaire et remise à zéro des secondes ainsi que l’indication de la réserve de marche, visible sur le mouvement à travers le fond saphir.
Le mouvement a été noirci par traitement galvanique, plaçant ainsi la montre sous le signe du noir intégral, comme le veut la mention TUTTONERO gravée sur le fond.
La montre Tuttonero – Luminor 1950 3 Days GMT Automatic Ceramica (PAM00438) est étanche jusqu’à 100 mètres et appartient à la Collection contemporaine.

Matt black is evident in every detail of the Tuttonero: the Luminor 1950 case with a diameter of 44mm, the lever device protecting the winding crown which makes every Luminor unmistakable and the dial which is of sandwich construction. Like the numerals and hour markers, the hands (hour, minute, small seconds and second time zone) are covered with ecru Super-LumiNova®, thus ensuring excellent visibility and legibility even in the dark.
The bracelet too is made entirely of matt black ceramic, the links being formed and finished by the same processes as the case and then attached to a PVD-coated brushed steel buckle.
The movement of the Tuttonero is the P.9001/B calibre, completely developed and made in the Officine Panerai manufacture.
It is an automatic mechanical movement with a power reserve of three days, date, second time zone, zero reset seconds hand and power reserve indication on the movement, visible through the sapphire crystal on the back. The movement has undergone a blackening process to give the watch a completely black appearance, as indicated by the engraved inscription “TUTTONERO” on the back.
The Tuttonero – Luminor 1950 3 Days GMT Automatic Ceramica (PAM00438) is waterresistant to 100 metres and is part of the Contemporary Collection.

Panerai Luminor 1950 Tourbillon GMT Ceramica

Le matériau dont est fait le boîtier de la Luminor 1950 (de 48 mm de diamètre) témoigne lui aussi de la maîtrise technique de la manufacture Officine Panerai : il s’agit d’une céramique synthétique a base de poudre d’oxyde de zirconium qui, à l’issue d’une série d‘opérations complexes de transformation et de finition, revêt un aspect opaque particulièrement uniforme et homogène, et garantit de remarquables performances en termes de dureté, de résistance aux éraflures, aux agents corrosifs et aux températures élevées.
Le cadran noir arbore un graphisme simple et épuré et reprend la classique structure « sandwich » créée dans les années 1930 par Officine Panerai, pour lui conférer une lisibilité optimale même dans les plus mauvaises conditions d’éclairage. Le petit compteur à trois heures donne l’indication 12 jour/nuit sur 24 heures tandis que la petite seconde à neuf heures partage son compteur avec un indicateur original, composé d’une série d’index en forme de points. Entraîné par le tourbillon, celui-ci avance deux fois plus vite que la petite seconde, parcourant le compteur en 30 secondes.
Le fond dodécagonal en titane (à revêtement PVD) s’ouvre en son centre sur un hublot saphir, qui permet d’entrevoir le mouvement de manufacture P.2005. C’est la première fois que celui-ci est présenté ici par Officine Panerai dans la version P.2005/B, noircie par un procédé utilisé pour créer une continuité esthétique avec l’élégant noir opaque du boîtier. Le verre saphir permet également de consulter le temps d’autonomie restant, au moyen d’un indicateur en or se déplaçant dans un petit cadran à secteur.
La Luminor 1950 Tourbillon GMT Ceramica (PAM00396) est fournie avec un bracelet en cuir non traité, fermé par une boucle réglable en acier PVD.

The material of which the Luminor 1950 case (48mm in diameter) has been made also expresses the technical mastery of the Officine Panerai manufacture: it is a synthetic ceramic based on zirconium powder which, by means of a complex series of working and finishing processes, acquires a particularly uniform and even matt black appearance, as well as ensuring excellent performance in terms of hardness, resistance to scratches, corrosive agents and high temperatures.
The black dial has a simple graphic appearance reduced to essentials and is of the classic sandwich structure created in the 1930s by Officine Panerai to achieve the maximum legibility even in conditions of very low light. The small dial at 3 o’clock provides am/pm indication over 24 hours.
The small seconds dial, at 9 o’clock, also contains an original indicator, consisting of a series 12 of dot markers, which is connected to the tourbillon and therefore moves at twice the speed of the seconds hand, completing one revolution in 30 seconds. The 12-sided back with 12 sides in titanium (coated with PVD) has a sapphire crystal window in the centre which enables the P.2005 manufacture movement to be seen. Here Officine Panerai is presenting it for the first time in the P.2005/B version, which has undergone a blackening treatment to create an aesthetic continuity with the matt black of the case.
The sapphire crystal also enables the remaining power reserve to be seen, thanks to a golden indicator within an arc-shaped dial.
The Luminor 1950 Tourbillon GMT Ceramica (PAM00396) is supplied with strap of natural untreated leather, closed by an adjustable steel buckle, coated in PVD.

Panerai Radiomir 8 Days GMT Oro Rosso

L’esthétique classique de la Radiomir, déclinée dans un boîtier en or rouge de 45 mm de diamètre, s’unit ici à une version inédite et très raffinée du mouvement P.2002, caractérisé par des ponts et barillets finement squelettés, visibles à travers le large verre saphir logé dans le fond du boîtier.
Entièrement conçu et réalisé par Officine Panerai, le calibre de manufacture P2002 est un mouvement à remontage manuel réunissant la date, un deuxième fuseau horaire et un dispositif de remise à zéro des secondes.
La réserve de marche, de huit jours, lui confère une longue autonomie déjà de mise dans les années 1940, ceci afin de faire l’économie de manipulations trop fréquentes de la couronne de remontoir.
Sur le calibre P.2002, ce temps d’autonomie considérable est l’oeuvre de trois barillets en série (brevet Officine Panerai) qui assurent une énergie optimale, avec des valeurs de couple restant stables huit jours durant, de façon à délivrer une énergie constante sur toute la période garantie par la réserve de marche.
D’un diamètre de 13¾ lignes, le calibre P.2002 réunit 21 rubis, trois barillets, un dispositif antichoc Kif Parechoc® et un balancier oscillant au rythme de 28 800 alternances par heure.
Portant la référence PAM00395, la Radiomir 8 Days GMT Oro Rosso est étanche jusqu’à 50 mètres et munie d’un bracelet en alligator brun avec boucle réglable en or rouge.

The classic aesthetic of the Radiomir, here in red gold in the 45mm size, is combined with an original and highly sophisticated version of the P.2002 movement, featuring finely skeletonised bridges and barrels which can be seen through the large sapphire crystal on the back.
The P.2002 manufacture calibre, completely designed and made by Officine Panerai, is handwound with date, second time zone and seconds zero reset device. The power reserve is eight days, a long duration already adopted in the 1940s by Panerai watches to avoid having to operate the winding crown too often.
In the P.2002 calibre such a long power reserve is achieved by three spring barrels in series (patented Officine Panerai) which ensures the optimum power at constant torque for eight days, so that the movement is supplied with even power over all the days guaranteed by the power reserve.
The P.2002 calibre, 13¾ lignes in diameter, has 21 jewels, three spring barrels, Kif Parechoc® anti-shock device and a balance which makes 28,800 alternations per hour. Identified by the reference PAM00395, the Radiomir 8 Days GMT Oro Rosso is water-resistant to 50 metres and is supplied with a brown alligator strap with an adjustable buckle of red gold.

Panerai Radiomir 1940

À la différence des prototypes et exemplaires mis en production à la fin des années 1930, certaines Radiomir historiques des années 1940 ont des anses différentes : non plus constituées d’un fil soudé au boîtier mais formant avec lui une pièce d’un seul tenant, pour un résultat plus massif offrant une meilleure résistance.
Les nouvelles Radiomir 1940 remettent à l’honneur ce boîtier particulier dans son format classique de 47 mm de diamètre, de pair avec d’autres éléments inspirés des exemplaires historiques : le Plexiglas® protégeant le cadran, la lunette ronde et bombée, la couronne cylindrique et le fond vissé. Les deux versions se distinguent l’une de l’autre par le matériau du boîtier, assorti à la couleur de leurs cadrans respectifs : la Radiomir 1940 (PAM00399) en acier inoxydable (AISI316L) poli arbore un cadran noir ; la Radiomir 1940 Oro Rosso (PAM00398), au cadran brun, est faite d’or rouge.
Le verre saphir du fond du boîtier, s’ouvrant en son centre, permet d’admirer le mouvement mécanique à remontage manuel OPXVII, dérivé d’un calibre Minerva : un mouvement d’une qualité hors pair superbement travaillé, d’un diamètre de 16 ¾ lignes, réunissant 18 rubis, un balancier à inertie variable avec régulation micrométrique à col-de-cygne, un dispositif antichoc Kif Parechoc® et 55 heures de réserve de marche.
Les Radiomir 1940 sont toutes deux des éditions limitées et numérotées à 100 exemplaires chacune. Officine Panerai a créé 50 sets, réunissant les deux montres à l’intérieur d’un écrin exclusif, où elles portent le même millésime (de 1 à 50).

Unlike the prototype and the examples which went into production at the end of the 1930s, some historic Radiomirs made in the 1940s had a distinctive case in which the strap attachments were not made of steel wires welded to the case but were formed out of the same block of steel as the case itself, thus resulting in stronger, more solid lugs. The new Radiomir 1940 watches are offered in this special case in the classic size of 47mm in diameter, and they incorporate other elements inspired by the historic examples: the Plexiglas® crystal protecting the dial, the round, cambered bezel, the cylindrical crown and the screw back.
The two versions are distinguished by the different materials of the case, each combined with a different dial colour: the Radiomir 1940 (PAM00399) is made of stainless steel (AISI316L) with a polished finish and has a black dial, while the Radiomir 1940 Oro Rosso (PAM00398) with the brown dial is in red gold.
The sapphire crystal in the centre of the caseback enables the OPXVII hand-wound mechanical movement on a Minerva base to be admired: it is a movement of the highest quality, superbly refinished, with a diameter of 16¾ lignes, 18 jewels, variable inertia balance with swan-neck micrometric regulator, Kif Parechoc® anti-shock device and a power reserve of 55 hours. The movement is visible through the sapphire crystal in the centre of the back.
Both the Radiomir 1940 models are produced in limited editions of 100 units each. Officine Panerai has created 50 sets which consist of the two watches in an exclusive box containing the two models with the same millesime numbering (from 1 to 50).

Panerai Luminor Marina 1950 3 Days et Luminor 1950 3 Days Power Reserve

Les deux modèles disposent d’un boîtier d’un diamètre de 47 mm en acier poli (AISI316L), avec le classique levier protège-couronne en acier satiné. Le cadran noir, protégé par un verre saphir bombé, est typique du style Panerai, avec la petite seconde à neuf heures et l’alternance de chiffres grand format et d’index. Le cadran a une structure « sandwich » avec entre les deux plaques la couche écrue de Super-LumiNova®, qui affleure à travers les ouvertures pratiquées en face des index et des chiffres, conférant une clarté et une profondeur maximums au cadran. Le logo gravé à l’aide de caractères de l’époque complète le design du cadran, tandis que la référence de la montre et du boîtier est gravée entre les cornes.
La Luminor Marina 1950 3 Days – 47mm et la Luminor 1950 3 Days Power Reserve – 47mm sont dotées des nouveaux calibres manufacture P.3001 et P.3002, qui diffèrent au niveau 19 de l’indicateur de la réserve de marche : situé sur le pont principal du mouvement, et donc visible uniquement à travers le verre saphir du fond du boîtier dans le calibre P.3001, il se trouve sur le cadran dans le calibre P.3002. D’un diamètre de 16 ½ lignes, les deux calibres se caractérisent par de larges ponts, deux barillets qui assurent 3 jours de réserve de marche et un balancier de 13,2 mm de diamètre à inertie variable qui, grâce aux vis placées à l’extérieur de l’anneau, permet d’effectuer facilement et rapidement le réglage de la montre.
Tous deux disposent également du dispositif de remise à zéro des secondes, qui contrôle le réglage rapide de l’heure, permettant de déplacer l’aiguille des heures d’une heure à chaque fois, sans interférer avec l’avancement de l’aiguille des minutes et le réglage de la montre.
La Luminor Marina 1950 3 Days (PAM00422) et la Luminor 1950 3 Days Power Reserve (PAM00423) font partie de la Collection Historique. Toutes deux sont fournies avec un bracelet en cuir naturel non traité, fermé par une boucle en acier satiné inspirée des modèles historiques.

In both models, the case 47 mm in diameter is made of polished AISI 316L stainless steel while the lever device protecting the winding crown is of brushed steel. The black dial, protected by a cambered sapphire crystal, is in the typical Panerai style, with the small seconds dial at 9 o’clock and the alternation of large figures and bar hour markers.
The dial is of sandwich construction with a layer of ecru Super-LumiNova® contained between two plates, the luminosity emerging through apertures corresponding to the hour markers and figures, thus ensuring the maximum legibility and intensity of the dial.
Completing the design of the dial are the engravings of the logo, executed in period lettering, while the case number and the reference are engraved on the case.
The Luminor Marina 1950 3 Days and the Luminor 1950 3 Days Power Reserve are both fitted with the new P.3001 and P.3002 manufacture calibres, which are distinguished from each 19 other by the different ways in which the power reserves is indicated. In the P.3001 the power reserve indication is located on the bridge of the movement, and is therefore visible through the crystal on the back, while in the P.3002 the indicator appears on the dial.
With a diameter of 16½ lignes, the two calibres have in common the typical structure of large bridges, two spring barrels giving a power reserve of three days and a balance wheel 13.2 mm in diameter with variable inertia, enabling the rate of the watch to be adjusted through external screws on the rim.
Both also have the seconds zero reset device and a mechanism for the rapid adjustment of the hour, enabling the hour hand to jump one hour at a time, without interfering with the movement of the minute hand or the running of the watch.
The Luminor Marina 1950 3 Days (PAM00422) and the Luminor 1950 3 Days Power Reserve (PAM00423) are part of the Historic Collection. Both are supplied with a strap of natural, untreated leather, fastened by a brushed steel buckle inspired by period models.

Panerai Radiomir California 3 Days et Radiomir S.L.C. 3 Days

La Radiomir California 3 Days arbore le cadran qui fut très certainement le premier associé au boîtier Radiomir, original par son alternance d’index, de chiffres arabes et de chiffres romains. Le design du cadran est enrichi par le logo OP, l’inscription « CALIFORNIA » gravée sur le rehaut à 12 heures et la fenêtre de la date à trois heures.
La Radiomir S.L.C. 3 Days offre une nouvelle version du cadran historique au design très minimaliste, caractérisé par de une simple alternance d’index bâtons et ronds. Cette version a probablement été créée à la fin des années 1930 pour expérimenter la structure en sandwich du cadran, dans laquelle deux plaques se superposent, celle du dessous recouverte d’une couche de substance luminescente – aujourd’hui le Super-LumiNova® - et celle du dessus ajourée au niveau des index ronds et bâtons. Le nom de cette montre fait référence à la torpille à course lente (Silura a lenta corsa en italien, S.L.C.), moyen d’assaut à bord duquel les plongeurs de la marine royale italienne ont effectué leurs héroïques missions sous-marines, équipés des montres et instruments Panerai.
Une torpille à course lente est dessinée en relief sur le cadran et l’inscription S.L.C. est gravée sur le réhaut à 12 heures.
Le mouvement est un calibre mécanique à remontage manuel, comme dans les montres historiques, mais remis aux meilleures normes actuelles : les deux modèles sont animés par le très sophistiqué mouvement manufacture P.3000, entièrement développé et fabriqué dans la manufacture d’Officine Panerai.
D’un diamètre de 16 ½ lignes, le P.3000 a la structure caractéristique : larges ponts, deux barillets qui assurent 3 jours de réserve de marche et un balancier de 13,2 mm de diamètre à inertie variable qui, grâce aux vis placées sur les bords des ponts, permet d’effectuer facilement et rapidement le réglage de la montre.
Le mouvement est visible à travers le verre du fond. La Radiomir California 3 Days (PAM00424) et la Radiomir S.L.C. 3 Days (PAM00425) font partie de la Collection historique. Elles sont dotées d’un verre saphir bombé et d’un bracelet en cuir brun, fermé par une boucle en acier poli inspirée des modèles historiques.

The Radiomir California 3 Days has the dial which was almost certainly the first one fitted to the Radiomir case, very original with its alternation of markers, Arabic figures and Roman numerals. The design of the dial is enhanced by the OP logo, the inscription “CALIFORNIA” engraved on the flange at 12 o’clock and the little date window at 3 o’clock.
The Radiomir S.L.C. 3 Days also has a historic dial of strongly minimalist design, with alternating bar and dot-shaped hour markers.
This version was probably created in the late 1930s to experiment with the sandwich construction of the dial, in which two plates are filled with a layer of luminous material – today Super-LumiNova® – the luminescence of which emerges through apertures corresponding to the markers cut in the upper plate. The name of this watch refers to the “Siluro a Lento Corsa” (S.L.C.), the slow-speed torpedo on which the commandos of the Royal Italian Navy rode during their heroic underwater missions, equipped with Panerai watches and instruments.
A slow-speed torpedo is drawn in relief on the dial and the inscription “S.L.C.” is engraved on the flange at 12 o’clock.
The movement is a hand-wound mechanical calibre, like the historic watches, but brought upto- date to meet the highest standards of today. Both models are fitted with the sophisticated P.3000 manufacture calibre, completely developed in the Officine Panerai manufacture. With a diameter of 16½ lignes, the P.3000 has the typical structure of large bridges, two spring barrels giving a power reserve of three days and a balance wheel 13.2 mm in diameter with variable inertia, enabling the rate of the watch to be adjusted through external screws on the rim. The movement is visible through the crystal on the back.
