Réf. 7071R «Ladies First Chronograph»

Inspirée de modèles Art déco fabriqués par Patek Philippe dans les années 1930, la nouvelle référence 7071R présente un élégant boîtier coussin aux angles arrondis. Une forme originale et raffinée dont la mise en oeuvre nécessite un grand travail artisanal. Elle est proposée exclusivement dans la chaude tonalité de l’or rose 18 carats, qui souligne son style contemporain. Les poussoirs rectangulaires actionnant le chronographe présentent un design ergonomique parfaitement étudié, tout comme la couronne cannelée permettant de remonter le mouvement.
Le fond saphir équipant le dos du boîtier permet d’admirer dans toute sa splendeur le nouveau Calibre CH 29-535 PS.

Le Calibre CH 29-535 PS se présente comme un mouvement à roue à colonnes, attribut traditionnel des beaux chronographes mécaniques, dotée comme il se doit chez Patek Philippe d’un chapeau poli. Il possède une grande aiguille de chronographe, une petite seconde et un compteur 30 minutes à saut instantané. Son grand balancier Gyromax à quatre bras et quatre masselottes bat à une fréquence élevée de 4 Hz (28 800 alternances par heure).
Le calibre est doté d’une réserve de marche de 65 heures (plus de 58 heures en mode chronographe enclenché). La bascule d’embrayage présente une forme classique en S.
La création de deux ponts distincts pour l’aiguille de chronographe (pont de roue de chronographe) et le compteur des minutes (pont de roue de compteur de minutes) souligne le souci d’exclusivité esthétique.
Le mouvement est également doté d’un système «stop seconde» qui permet une mise à l’heure très précise.
L’architecture du Calibre CH 29-535 PS présente par ailleurs un certain nombre de particularités ingénieuses qui concourent au même souci de fonctionnalité et de performances que les six brevets liés au développement de ce nouveau chronographe. Le mouvement se distingue notamment par son compteur 30 minutes instantané, nettement plus complexe à réaliser que les traditionnels compteurs traînants ou semi‐instantanés.

Inspired by Patek Philippe’s Art Deco watches from the 1930s, the Ref. 7071R comes in an elegant, cushion-shaped case with rounded angles. Its inimitably complex form can only be crafted by talented artisans. Its contemporary design is enriched by the warmth of 18K rose gold, the only precious metal in which the case is available. The rectangular buttons that activate the chronograph functions are eminently ergonomic, as is the fluted crown used to wind the movement.

The CH 29-535 PS is based on the principle of the column wheel, no doubt the defining hallmark of truly beautiful mechanical chronographs. At Patek Philippe, it is crowned with a polished cap. The watch has a large chronograph hand, a seconds sub dial, and an instantaneously jumping 30‐minute counter. Its large four spoke Gyromax balance wheel with four poising weights beats at a frequency of 4 Hz (28,800 semi-oscillations/hour). The caliber has a power reserve of 65 hours (58 hours when the chronograph is activated). The clutch lever exhibits the classic “S” shape. The aesthetic design vocabulary also extends to the chronograph wheel bridge and the minute‐counter bridge. The movement has a stop‐seconds feature that makes it very convenient to accurately synchronize the watch with an official time signal.

The architecture of the CH 29-535 PS movement also exhibits a number of other remarkable features that have just as positive an impact on its functionality and performance as the six patented inventions associated with the development of the new chronograph movement. One of them is the instantaneous 30 minute counter that is much more difficult to engineer than a semi-instantaneous or continuous counter.
