Un boîtier over size dont Cartier renouvelle la surprise à travers cette version graphique armée du mouvement squelette 9611 MC, 100 pour 100 manufacturé par Cartier.
Il ne s’agit donc pas d’un simple ouvrage de squelettage sur la base d’un mouvement existant mais d’un mouvement de forme entièrement conçu pour que les ponts dessinent de larges chiffres romains et pour utiliser la totalité de l’espace offert par le large boîtier en palladium.

Doté de deux barillets, le calibre 9611 MC emmagasine une énergie suffisante pour assurer 72 heures de marche, ce qui garantit la constance du couple ressort-moteur sur une longue durée et, de ce fait, une exceptionnelle précision de marche.

Cartier has crafted an oversized case and accentuated the wonder surrounding its creations with this graphically striking version, equipped with the 9611 MC skeleton movement manufactured entirely by Cartier .
This is thus not simply an existing movement that has been skeletonised, but rather an innovative, shaped movement that has been entirely designed to include bridges shaped as large Roman numerals and to use all of the space provided by the large palladium case.

Equipped with two barrels, the 9611 MC calibre can store sufficient energy for 72 hours of timekeeping, thus guaranteeing the long-term consistency of the mainspring and, in consequence, exceptional precision.

Mouvement emblématique du Poinçon de Genève chez Cartier, le calibre 9452 MC présenté au SIHH 2008 dans la montre Ballon Bleu de Cartier anime cette année deux modèles historiques de la Maison : Tank Américaine et Santos 100.

Ce tourbillon volant une minute révèle à six heures la cage de tourbillon en forme de C. Symbole de l'art horloger de Cartier, la cage pivote en soixante secondes sur son axe tout en flottant librement, sans la présence perturbante d'un pont de tourbillon. Mieux encore, le regard perçoit même la transparence aérienne de la construction à travers la vaste ouverture du cadran lorsque la montre est placée à contre-jour.

The 9452 MC calibre, Cartier’s emblematic Geneva Seal movement, was presented at the 2008 SIHH as part of the Ballon bleu de Cartier watch and has now been incorporated into two historic Cartier models this year: the Tank Américaine and the Santos 100.

This one-minute flying tourbillon reveals a C-shaped tourbillon carriage at six o’clock. Symbolising the art of watchmaking by Cartier , this carriage pivots on its axis every sixty seconds while floating freely without the disconcerting presence of a tourbillon bridge. Better still, the eye can behold the ethereal transparency of this spectacular construction when the watch is held up against the light, thanks to a wide dial opening.

Montre Rotonde de Cartier chronographe central

Avec ce nouveau calibre 9907 MC, réalisation Maison dont le développement et la fabrication des prototypes se déroulent à La Chaux-de-Fonds en toute exclusivité, Cartier revisite la fonction chronographe à travers cette version pionnière du modèle Rotonde de Cartier.
La première singularité de cette nouvelle montre Rotonde de Cartier calibre 9907 MC réside dans l’isolement au centre du cadran de l’affichage de la fonction chronographe.

Cet ingénieux dispositif offre une lisibilité exceptionnelle à cette complication traditionnelle et un affichage inédit. L'action se déroule sur deux niveaux : le niveau inférieur est consacré à l'affichage des heures et des minutes à l’aide d’aiguilles bleuies dont seule la pointe est visible, le niveau supérieur est dédié au chronographe. Au centre, la fine aiguille bleuie des secondes se met en mouvement à l’actionnement du poussoir correspondant, pendant que le large compteur en arc de cercle enregistre chacune de ses rotations jusqu’à trente minutes. Ainsi, les aiguilles qui indiquent l'heure ne recouvrent jamais celles du chronographe.
Les horlogers Cartier ont choisi de substituer l’habituel déclenchement horizontal monté sur bascule latérale qui requiert une grande quantité d'énergie à une variante verticale de conception extrêmement moderne.

With this new 9907 MC calibre, produced, developed and prototyped exclusively in-house in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Cartier is revisiting the chronograph function through this pioneering version of the Rotonde de Cartier model.
The primary distinguishing feature of this new Rotonde de Cartier 9907 MC calibre watch is the isolated chronograph display in the centre of the dial.

This ingenious arrangement offers both exceptional legibility of this traditional complication and a novel way of displaying the time. Timekeeping occurs on two levels: the lower level is devoted to displaying the hours and minutes using blued hands which are invisible save for the tips, while the upper level is dedicated to the chronograph function. In the centre, the slim blued seconds hand begins to move when the corresponding push-piece is pressed, while the large counter in the form of an arc records each of its revolutions up to thirty minutes. Thus, the hands indicating the time never obscure those of the chronograph.
the Cartier watchmakers decided to substitute the usual horizontal release system mounted on a lateral yoke, which requires a large amount of energy, for a vertical alternative with an extremely modern design.

Montre Rotonde de Cartier tourbillon chronographe monopoussoir

Pour la première fois dans l’histoire de l’horlogerie, un mouvement cumule les deux complications chronographe monopoussoir et tourbillon : le calibre 9431 MC. Il a été développé en 2005, en exclusivité pour Cartier par un des fournisseurs de mouvements les plus renommés de la haute horlogerie suisse : Renaud & Papi.

Le fond saphir transparent permet de découvrir le calibre et ses pièces maîtresses comme le tourbillon, la bascule de commande directement liée au remontoir et à la roue à colonnes qui distribue les fonctions : départ, arrêt, remise à zéro. Il permet également d’observer le tourbillon dans ses deux faces.

For the first time in the history of watchmaking, the calibre 9431 MC movement has combined two of the most outstanding complications: the single push-piece chronograph and the tourbillon. This movement was developed exclusively for Cartier in 2005 by one of the most celebrated names in Swiss fine watchmaking: Renaud & Papi.

The transparent sapphire crystal case-back enables the calibre to be observed along with its major components, such as the tourbillon or the operating lever , which is linked directly to the to both the winding mechanism and the column wheel and controls the functions: start, stop and reset. It also enables both sides of the tourbillon to be observed.
