Pour sa première collection complète de chronographes aquatiques, PARMIGIANI FLEURIER ne pouvait mieux en asseoir la maîtrise qu’en associant son expertise technique à celle d’un des plus grands constructeurs de bateaux d’aujourd’hui : PERSHING.
PARMIGIANI FLEURIER souhaitait déjà depuis plusieurs années développer une nouvelle collection de montres aux lignes et volumes très sportifs. Le projet horloger connaît une évolution importante dès lors que naît le rapprochement entre PERSHING et PARMIGIANI FLEURIER.
Sous ce nouvel éclairage, l’allure du nouveau garde-temps aquatique, particulièrement novateur pour PARMIGIANI FLEURIER, prend corps : forme ronde et puissante de son boîtier aux accents stylistiques fortement identifiés à la ligne Kalpa (emblème de Parmigiani Fleurier), lunette tournante unidirectionnelle, poussoirs chronographe en caoutchouc intégrés dans les anses, étanchéité à 200 mètres (660 pieds), tachymètre, bracelets caoutchouc ou cuirs créés sur mesure.

Fonctions : Heures, minutes, seconde chronographe centrale, fonction chronographe avec compteurs 12 heures et 30 minutes, quantième grand guichet. Indications de l’échelle tachymétrique.

For its first complete collection of aquatic chronographs, there could be no better route to mastery for PARMIGIANI FLEURIER than allying its technical expertise with one of today's biggest boatbuilders: PERSHING.
PARMIGIANI FLEURIER had for several years wanted to develop a new collection of watches with highly sporty lines and volumes.
The watchmaking project took a major turn with the formation of the partnership between PERSHING and PARMIGIANI FLEURIER.
In this new light, the look of the new aquatic timekeeper, especially innovative for PARMIGIANI FLEURIER, took shape: its round and powerfully-shaped case, with stylistic emphases strongly identifying with the Kalpa line (a Parmigiani Fleurier emblem), a uni-directional rotary bezel, rubber chronograph push-pieces built into the loops, 200-metre (660 feet) water resistance, tachometer and rubber or leather straps made to measure.

Kalpa Hémisphères

La Kalpa Hémisphères s’affranchit de la complexité des rouages mécaniques qu’elle renferme, pour proposer au regard un deuxième fuseau horaire complet, heures et minutes, parfaitement simple d’utilisation. Prouesse technique rare en horlogerie, le réglage du 2ème fuseau s’exécute à la minute près.

Un nombre considérable de destinations en décalage d’une demi-heure ou de trois-quarts d’heure (*) par rapport à l’heure GMT sont dès lors en totale synchronisation avec l’heure locale. Monde en perpétuelle mouvance, l’adaptabilité est une exigence quotidienne.
Pour que le voyageur puisse à tout moment changer l’heure locale ou l’heure de destination, les réglages des deux indications temporelles (heures et minutes) sont totalement indépendants l’un de l’autre.
Deux couronnes ont été positionnées à cet effet, sur la droite du boîtier, l’une pour le réglage du fuseau, l’autre pour le remontage du mouvement, l’ajustement de la date et de l’heure locale. C’est par un complexe système de débrayages sur le mouvement que les différentes opérations de mise à l’heure sont effectives.
Le nouveau Calibre 337 Parmigiani Fleurier automatique a été créé pour répondre aux exigences techniques très élevées de la marque et dont la réalisation complexe n’était possible que par sa gestion complète au cœur de sa manufacture.

The Kalpa Hemispheres frees itself from the complexity of the mechanical train wheels it contains, offering a complete, easy-to-use second time zone display with hour and minute hands. The 2nd time zone is set to the minute, a rare technical feat in watchmaking.

A considerable number of destinations with half-hour or three-quarter hour (*) offsets from GMT are now completely synchronised with the local time. In our world of perpetual motion, adaptability is a day-to-day requirement.
To enable travellers to change the local time or destination time at any moment, the settings of the two time displays (hour and minute hands) are completely independent of each other. Two crowns are fitted for this purpose on the right of the case, one for setting the time zone, and the other for winding the movement, correcting the date and local time.
The various time setting operations are performed via a complex system of clutches on the movement.
The new Parmigiani Fleurier Calibre 337 automatic has been created to meet the brand’s highly exacting technical requirements.
To achieve this complex feat, all operations had to be carefully co-ordinated and overseen in conjunction with its manufacturing process.
