One Million $ BB

Un véritable chef d’oeuvre vient de voir le jour chez Hublot. La marque horlogère et l’atelier de sertissage Bunter SA ont réussi ensemble l’exploit de créer une Big Bang au sertissage totalement invisible.
En faisant disparaître totalement la matière pour ne voir plus que le diamant.
Même si ses lignes sont identiques à celles de la Big Bang, la One Million $ BB sertie d’invisibilité cache une construction monobloc en Or blanc.
Le mystère prend là toute son ampleur : aucune parcelle d’Or n’est visible ! Le sertissage inventé ici s’est dérobé à l’oeil comme par magie, les diamants brillent de tous leurs éclats sans une once d’attache en vue. Ils ont été taillés d’une manière mystérieuse qui ne laisse deviner aucun système de fixation dans la matière.
La One Million $ BB représente le symbole parfait de la fusion entre la joaillerie et l’horlogerie. Ses 493 diamants baguette de tailles différentes, de qualité Top Wesselton, abritent un mouvement Tourbillon. Le fermoir à boucle déployante de son bracelet en caoutchouc naturel est également serti de diamants. L’investissement créatif et émotionnel a été considérable pour faire naître une telle pièce d’exception. Quant au temps pour sa réalisation, il totalise plus de 2000 heures : conception, recherche et développement, programmation des machines, choix des (micro- !) outils, taille des diamants, contrôle optique de chaque pièce, sertissage, emboîtage, ajustement sont autant de maillons qui constituent le formidable exploit dévoilé aujourd’hui.

A true masterpiece has just been born at Hublot. The watchmaking brand and the Bunter SA diamond-setting workshop have together scored a major achievement by creating a Big Bang with a totally invisible setting, making material totally disappear to reveal just the diamond.
Although similar in lines to the Big Bang, the One Million $ BB with invisible setting conceals a monobloc construction in white gold. Therein lies the full magnitude of the mystery: not one ounce of gold is visible ! The setting is spirited away as if by magic, the diamonds sparkle in all their glory without a claw to be seen. They have been shaped by a mysterious hand that leaves no hint of the device used to secure them.
The One Million $ BB is the very symbol of the fusion between jewellery and watchmaking.
A grand total of 493 Top Wesselton baguette diamonds of different sizes conceal a Tourbillon movement. The natural rubber bracelet has a deployant buckle with a diamond-set clasp.
Crafting such an exceptional timepiece has required a huge creative and emotional input. More than 2,000 hours have gone into its making, from design through to research and development, machine programming, choice of (micro-)precision tools, the cutting of the diamonds, the visual examination of each part, setting, casing and fine-tuning.
Each stage in the operation has contributed to the tremendous achievement we see before us today.
