Vintage 1945 Jackpot Tourbillon

Pour la première fois, un garde-temps réunit un Tourbillon et une machine à sous dotée d’un mécanisme de sonnerie dans les parfaites proportions d’un boîtier Vintage 1945.

Sur le cadran, un guichet à 12 h s’ouvre sur une rangée de trois symboles, tandis qu’une découpe à 6 h permet d’admirer le Pont d’or et la cage du Tourbillon.
La magie du jeu opère en tirant le levier situé sur le côté droit du boîtier. Les trois rouleaux s’activent, puis s’arrêtent aléatoirement sur l’un des cinq symboles possibles, tandis qu’un minuscule marteau frappe un timbre, ce qui produit un joyeux tintement évoquant celui des machines présentes dans les casinos. Sur les 125 combinaisons, une seule représente le jackpot: les trois cloches alignées.

Le fonctionnement du mécanisme de la machine à sous
Le levier sur le côté du boîtier est connecté à une crémaillère. En tirant ce levier, la crémaillère monte le long du mouvement. Quand la crémaillère a atteint son plus haut point, et seulement là, (un mécanisme appelé «  tout ou rien »), elle lance les rouleaux et revient lentement en position.
Quand elle a atteint approximativement deux tiers de son chemin, elle active les stoppeurs, qui arrêtent les rouleaux un à un, et active de façon synchrone le mécanisme de sonnerie.

For the first time, a watch combines a Tourbillon and a slot machine equipped with a striking mechanism in perfect proportion with the Vintage 1945 case.

On the dial, a window at 12 o’clock reveals a row of three symbols, while a cut-out at 6 o’clock lets one admire the gold Bridge and the Tourbillon cage.
The magic of the game is set in motion by pulling the handle on the right side of the case. The three reels spin and then stop randomly on one of the possible five symbols, while a hammer strikes a gong, producing the happy chime reminiscent of the gaming machines in a casino.
Out of the 125 combinations, only one represents the jackpot: the three bells in a row.

Slot machine mechanism
The handle on the side of the case is connected to a rack. By pulling the handle, the rack slides up. When the rack reaches its highest point, and only then (a so called “all or nothing mechanism”), it starts the reels spinning and slowly slides back down. When it has returned approximately two thirds of the way, it activates stoppers, which stop the reels one by one, and synchronically activates the striking mechanism.

Totalement nouveau, le calibre du chronographe Laureato Régate a été développé spécifiquement pour la compétition : une aiguille est entièrement dédiée au compte à rebours des dix minutes précédant le départ, permettant de lire avec précision le temps restant dans une zone située entre 9 h et 12 h. Ensuite, le compteur à 1 h prend instantanément la mesure de la durée de la course. Un seul poussoir permet de piloter les fonctions.
Un Tourbillon Volant renforce la noblesse de la pièce. Libéré de son pont, comme suspendu dans les airs, le subtil mécanisme se laisse admirer dans toute sa splendeur par la zone ajourée dans le cadran.
Le fond transparent permet de contempler toute la complexité du mouvement. Pour parfaire la qualité de la composition, le boîtier s’offre le luxe d’un confort d’utilisation exemplaire dans un diamètre de 46 mm.
Ainsi, l’unique poussoir est placé à 3 h, tandis que la couronne située à 4 h est protégée et vissée pour assurer l’étanchéité et éviter toute utilisation involontaire.

Finely designed as stringently as a racing boat, this “Haute Horlogerie” creation bears the stamp of technical performance and exceptional character at their most beautiful level. Completely new, the calibre of the Laureato Regatta chronograph was developed specifically for the competition: one hand is entirely dedicated to the countdown of the ten minutes preceding the start, enabling the remaining time to be read with precision, in a zone situated between 9 and 12 o’clock. Then, the counter at 1 o’clock instantly takes over the calculation of the duration of the race. A single pusher is used to operate the various functions.
A Flying Tourbillon reinforces the nobility of the piece. Freed from its bridge, as if suspended in the air, the subtle mechanism can be admired in all its splendour through the open area of its dial. The transparent case back allows one to observe the complexity of the movement. In order to perfect the quality of its overall composition, the case is particularly easy to use with its 46 mm diameter. Thus, the only pusher is located at 3 o’clock, whereas the crown situated at 4 o’clock is protected and screwed down to ensure water resistance and prevent any inadvertent activation.

Laureato USA 98 Lady

Cette première adaptation féminine de l’actuelle génération Laureato se décline en 50 exemplaires enchanteurs. Les heures et la lunette s’illuminent de diamants finement travaillés en dégradé. Ce précieux halo est composé de 40 pierres, représentant au total 1,41 carat.
En écho à cette charmante interprétation, les courbes des chiffres adoucissent la pièce, les poussoirs intégrés s’accordent au boîtier, un jeu subtil de zones pleines ou évidées sur le cadran laisse entrevoir les mystères du mouvement, également révélé par le fond transparent du boîtier.
Car, loin de délaisser les mécanismes compliqués au profit de seules considérations esthétiques, Girard-Perregaux a choisi d’offrir aux femmes l’un des plus petits chronographes à roue à colonne. Ce mouvement complexe apporte une grande précision dans la mesure des temps.

This first feminine adaptation of the present Laureato generation is available in 50 enchanting examples. The hours and the bezel are illuminated with finely worked, graded diamonds. This precious halo is composed of 40 stones, representing a total of 1.41 carats.
The curves of the numbers soften the appearance of the piece, echoing this charming interpretation, while the integrated pushers are beautifully integrated into the case, and a subtle interplay of zones that are full or scooped out of the dial, give a glimpse of the mysteries of the movement, which is also revealed through the transparent case back.
Far from relinquishing complicated mechanisms to concentrate just on the aesthetic, Girard-Perregaux has chosen to offer the ladies one of the smallest column-wheel chronographs. This complex movement measures time extremely precisely.

Vintage 1945 Carree

La Vintage 1945 Carrée est la première montre équipée du mouvement mécanique à remontage automatique GP 4500. Ce calibre est l’un des derniers nés de la Manufacture, qui met un point d’honneur à enrichir continuellement sa gamme. Son diamètre de 13 ¼ ‘’’ représente un choix privilégié pour des montres aux dimensions généreuses.
Il présente plusieurs caractéristiques innovantes, dont une efficacité de remontage renforcée. 190 éléments composent ce nouveau mouvement, visible par le fond transparent.

The Vintage 1945 Carrée is the first watch equipped with the GP 4500 mechanical movement with automatic winding. This calibre is one of the latest to emerge from the Manufacture, for which it is a point of honour to continually improve its range.
Its 13¼‘’’ diameter represents a choice reserved for watches of generous dimensions. It presents a number of innovative characteristics including an improved more efficient winding system. 190 elements make up this new movement, which can be seen through the transparent case back.

This original and ingenious marriage between technology and aesthetics depends on two mobile discs around the dial: a 24-hour ring is synchronised with the hour hand. A second disc can be adjusted with the crown at 9 o’clock; it displays the names of the twenty-four cities and the periods when the four bourses are open for business. When the red pointer on the hour ring is opposite one of these periods, that particular market is open.

This series tailored for success develops the ergonomics of the mythical Laureato employing a whole range of materials. The chronograph, by combining the steel case and vulcanised rubber bracelet, illustrates this approach. Its new profile marries with the wrist’s curved profile, while the crown surround redesigned to improve the comfort of use, complements the pushers, which are completely integrated into the case.
The comfortable 46 mm diameter gives the model an imposing character. The granulated dial, evoking the non-skid coatings of sailing boats, makes quite a surprising graphic use of this material. The fly-back function strengthens the relevance of the chronograph in the regatta context, where it is essential to know different stages of the race extremely precisely. The pusher at 2 o’clock allows it to be switched on and off, whilst one press on the pusher at 4 o’clock, puts it back to zero and instantly restarts the count, when the chronograph is activated.

Its fascinating dark aspect is due to the DLC (Diamond Like Carbon) treatment, which is a form of amorphous carbon. This coating, which is very comfortable to the touch, offers unique properties close to those of the diamond, such as its extreme hardness.
