Le cadran est gravé en relief — selon la technique fleurisanne particulière à BOVET, caractérisée par un travail en creux afin de repousser la matière et créer des volutes brillantes qui se détachent sur un fond en pointillé. La gravure fleurisanne représente un défi même pour les artisans les plus accomplis. Les ponts du mouvement sont également gravés dans le style fleurisanne.
Chaque cadran est à l’évidence une oeuvre d’art unique entouré d’un cercle de 88 diamants et dévoilé à travers un verre en cristal de roche.
Le tourbillon très robuste, qui bénéficie d’une double protection antichoc, est parfaitement adapté à une montre-bracelet. La cage de tourbillon peut être décorée avec la fleur lotus BOVET stylisé, à 12 pétales.
Une aiguille serpentine indique les 192 heures de réserve de marche contenues dans les ressorts entièrement remontés des barillets jumelés. Ils délivrent une énergie constante au tourbillon, même si la montre n’est pas portée tous les jours.

BOVET displays extraordinary craftsmanship in the engraved dial of its self-winding tourbillon with an indicated power-reserve of eight days. The dial is engraved in relief — a technique particular to BOVET where raised and overlapping scrolls gleam against a stippled background. Known as fleurisanne engraving, it tests the skills of the most accomplished artisans. The bridges of the movement are also engraved fleurisanne-style. Each dial is, of course, a unique artwork framed in a row of 88 round-cut diamonds and viewed through a glass of rock crystal.
The robust, double shock-proofed flying tourbillon is ideally suited to wristwatches. The tourbillon cage can be decorated with the BOVET’s stylized lotus flower.
The 192 hours of power reserve in the fully wound springs of the twin barrels are shown by a serpentine hand. They ensure constant force to the tourbillon even if the watch isn’t worn every day.

BOVET’s first chronograph in a Fleurier case returns to the style of the earliest wrist-chronographs of the late 1920s – a single-button control with the elapsed chronograph minutes and the running small seconds vertically aligned.
This type of chronograph, with a pulsometer scale, is known as a doctor’s chronograph. The physician times 15 pulse-beats and reads off the pulse rate per minute on the scale.
The chronograph stop, start and zero are controlled by successive pressures on a cabochon-topped button, coaxial with the crown. The original chronograph system is in fact much easier to use than the more modern two-button chronograph.
The Fleurier single button chronograph is manually wound and beats at 21,600v/h.

Doté d’une échelle pulsométrique, ce type de chronographe est connu sous le nom de chronographe de médecin car le praticien comptait 15 pulsations et pouvait lire sur l’échelle le nombre de pulsations par minute.
L’arrêt, le démarrage et la remise à zéro du chronographe sont commandés par des pressions successives sur le poussoir serti d’un cabochon, intégré de manière coaxiale dans la couronne. Le système original de chronographe présente en effet l’avantage d’une utilisation notablement plus aisée que le chronographe plus moderne à deux poussoirs.
Le chronographe monopoussoir possède un mouvement à remontage manuel qui bat à 21’600 alt/h.

The styling of the new 44mm Sportster chronograph recalls the advanced chronograph designs produced by BOVET in the Art Deco era.
The Sportster self-winding chronograph is unusual in having the buttons at the top of the case at 11 and 1 on either side of the crown and bow. It makes the chronograph easier to use and provides a pleasing symmetry to the watch. The dial layout is also different from that of conventional chronographs, as it is made to pay homage to BOVET’s own Art Deco dial, with only two subdials in their original positions at 3 (hours) and at 9 (minutes). It is water-resistant to 100 metres.
The movement, visible through a sapphire transparent back, bear the caracteristical Sportster decoration Côtes de Genève and blued steel.
